There are many exciting beauty spots to visit when you are on holiday in Hirtshals. Beauty spots that tell of our past and offer magnificent views. Its a perfect offer of trips into nature in the Hirtshals area.

Hirtshals Klint

Hirtshals Klint is a popular spot and a coastal location South West of Hirtshals - filled with clues from the past. The cliff is 250 meters long and up to 10 meters high.

What might otherwise look like a plain beach with big stones is in fact a huge collection of Yoldials (marine deposits formed at the end of the Ice Age after the melting of the icecaps) and stones from, in particular, Norway, which has come here through icebergs sailing in from the Weichsel Ice Age.

Hirtshals Klint has great research value, as the cliff is the only site where larger profiles of older Yoldials can be studied.
